July Hike Offerings

Join our friendly hike leaders in July to experience our beautiful  Beaver Valley Bruce Trail. For details, check the BTC Hike calendar at hikes.brucetrail.org and register to join us on one or all of the hikes. Sunny Sundays (10-15 km)

July 5Fairmount/Siegerman Loop.  First we will travel along a road allowance and a country road to view Webwood Falls, then through the fields of the Fairmount Side Trail, followed by lovely forest on the main trail, ending with the Siegerman property. Hike Leader: MIke.

July 19 Eugenia Falls to Johnston’s Side Road. Lots to enjoy on this one– including Eugenia Falls, Hogg’s Falls, a view across Cuckoo Valley and the beauty of the forest in its green glory. Hike Leader: Glenda.

Wednesday Walkers (5-7 km)

July 8 – Eagle’s Summit. Here’s an opportunity to explore the newly acquired (2025) Eagle’s Summit Nature Reserve. We’ll experience a series of Side Trail (ST) loops such as the Valley Vista ST, East Mountain ST, Pond View ST, Rockface ST and Cascades ST. Hike Leader: Marg.

July 15 – Around Eugenia. This is a scenic section of Trail that travels along the side of the Beaver River. There are old structures still in place that show some of the early history of development in the area. Hikers will be treated to a good view of the high Eugenia Falls.  Hike Leader: Marg.

July 22 – Eugenia Falls to Hogg’s Falls. This hike begins with Eugenia Falls, has views of Cuckoo Valley, then arrives at Hogg’s Falls. Hike Leader: Marg.

July 29 – Hogg’s Falls: Bridges and Walkways. This hike showcases the Hogg’s Falls area. We’ll hike the trails around the falls and into the uplands… a beautiful place. Hike Leader: Glenda.

Thursdays! (10-15 km)

July 9 – Loree Forest Loop.  Starting on the Intercept Side Tail, we’ll hike in the Len Gertler Memorial Loree Forest and through the Loree Side Trail, after which we’ll loop back to our cars. Hike Leader: Alan.

July 23 – Duncan/Metcalfe Rock Loop. We’ll experience the Chuck and Pat Grant Side Trail, spend some time exploring around Metcalfe Rock and see Pinnacle Rock– all as we loop to our cars. Lots of places to take in the views and enjoy the day. Hike Leader: Alan.

As you browse the hike schedule, you may notice hikes offered by hike leaders from other clubs who are visiting our section of Trail.  Feel free to register for ANY hikes that might appeal to you!
