The Beaver Valley Club has a new badge with a twist. The Geology Hikes badge is a delightful combination of hike and hunt while learning about some of the interesting features in the Beaver Valley. Hikers will need to find and photograph a particular geological feature on each of the eight hikes. Click the link to download the Badge Photos Hike List.
Hikers need a copy of Beth Gilhespy’s book, Walking Through Time: Exploring Niagara Escarpment Geology in the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Section, which references each of the features. The book is available at Ginger Press Bookstore in Owen Sound, Kimberley General Store in Kimberley, the Bruce Trail Conservancy or directly from the author at walkingthroughtime.ca.
