Bruce Trail Day

October 5 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
It’s a day to celebrate Connections on the Trail as we partner with Grey Sauble Conservation to share the beauty of Eugenia Falls and the many parts of the Bruce Trail that wander through the Beaver Valley.
A very special THANK YOU to Grey Sauble Conservation Authority for partnering with us and waiving the usual parking fees for all attendees.
10:00 am to 3:00 pm – Visit the Bruce Trail and Grey Sauble Conservation Authority tents to learn more about the Bruce Trail and Grey Sauble Conservation Authority. Go for a self-guided hike or try a family friendly activity, craft or scavenger hunt. Limited amounts of Bruce Trail merchandise will be available for purchase (save the shipping!) Giveaways and Reference Guides (while supplies last)!
10:00 am – “In Your Estimation” Hike. Hikers will be challenged to guess their completion time (mm:ss) for a 3-5 km hike. Exact hike route and distance will be revealed on Bruce Trail Day! The hiker with the closest guess will win a Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Prize. Hikers are asked to please refrain from checking time, pace or distance technology during the hike – all participating hikers will be timed by Club volunteers.
1:00 pm – Historical Eugenia Falls Hike. Join us for a hike in and around Eugenia Falls where, along the way, we’ll find traces of hydro-electric power projects and learn about an 1852 “gold rush”.
