UPDATE: THE TRAIL CLOSURE IS NOW LIFTED
The llamas have all been returned safely. Trails in the Loree Forest have now been reopened.
A number of llamas are currently loose in the Loree Forest and vicinity. Thus far, attempts to capture the animals have failed as they have been frightened off by hikers and dogs.
As a result, the Len Gertler Memorial Loree Forest is temporarily closed and will remain closed until the llamas are recovered. For your safety and the safety of the llamas, please do not hike in the area until the closure is lifted.
