Day Hike Map Kit, 2nd Edition, Reprint Just Released

Another hiking season is here and we have reprinted our 2nd Edition Map Kit. It has 6 new and exciting Bonus Hikes described for 2010.

Held in a sturdy, clear vinyl wallet for easy handling, reading and protection, the kit now offers you 34 excellent Day Hikes featuring a new Old Baldy side trail, our new Falling Water Trail hiking area and some freshly re-routed and now delightful off-road trails.

There are 5 individual maps to tell you:

• how to get there...
• where to park...
• how to find each trail Access...
• what to see along the trail...
• how long the hike will take...
• how much effort is needed...
• and if a trail offers a loop or linear hike.

In addition, a separate User’s Guide offers hints and tips for better, safer hiking, how to follow the “blazes” along a trail and emergency numbers common to our area.

Finally, your new kit will include an expanded, unique, full colour “Wildflowers of the Beaver Valley” insert folder produced by the Club’s botanist/photographer Mike Osborn, Meaford.

Advance Mail Order:

For out-of-area hikers who wish to buy a kit before travelling to the Beaver Valley, you may obtain a kit by mail. Phone or email one of the (DM) vendors, they will send you a kit by mail.

Mailed Kits will cost $16.50 (Kit $12 + handling and postage $4.50) payable to the vendor by money order or VISA at time of order.
